Veterinary Technicians

Cayce Lockhart joined Vibrant Pet in 2016 while seeking a degree in Veterinary Technology. In 2021 she graduated from San Juan College with her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. In 2022 she passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam which allowed her to obtain her Registered Veterinary Technician license. Also that year, Cayce completed additional continued education through San Juan College obtaining a certificate in Veterinary Practice Management. This fall (2023) she hopes to take the Certified Veterinary Practice Management national exam in order to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. Cayce enjoys continuing her education and traveling to veterinary conferences in order to gain more knowledge to better serve you and your pets. When not at work or studying Cayce enjoys spending time with friends and helping on the family ranch. She has five dogs and two horses of her own.
Veterinary Assistants

Tyrell “Ty” Bucher joined the Vibrant Pet Team in June of 2015, earning his Certified Veterinary Assistant degree in 2019.He also runs an in-home pet sitting service. His love of animals has grown every day.
Ty loves being a daddy to his two children and a husband to his lovely wife. Ty has his own funny farm that is ever changing with rescues.

Amanda Antholz grew up in Cortez, Colorado. She started working at Vibrant Pet, as a veterinary assistant, in October 2017 and is very happy to be part of our team. She has been in other employment fields throughout her life, but choosing animal care has been her best choice yet. Animals have always been a special part of her life. Outside of work she enjoys camping, fishing, riding horses, shooting, snuggling kittens and spending time with family. She has 3 dogs, 3 cats and 4 horses.

Suede Hillyer joined our team in September 2020 as a veterinary assistant and runs our animal rescue- Paired Souls. Suede has 2 chihuahuas to play dress up on, a snuggly lab mix, two pretty kitties, and usually a foster or two. When not caring for animals She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and being involved in our community.
Isis Jaime grew up in Mancos, Colorado. That is where she graduated high school in 2020 . Some of her hobbies include going to the gym, being outdoors, spending time with family, and watching/playing sports. Her cats and dogs have her heart. She loves working at Vibrant Pet Animal Hospital, with amazing staff by her side. Here she can work with animals and learn everyday!

Sammie Burd joined our team in September 2022. She loves helping with all animals that come thru the door. She will most likely have Sasha (a clinic cat) on her shoulder when you see her. Sammie enjoys working with such wonderful people and learning new things everyday.
When not working as a veterinary assistant, she loves to spend time with her animals and family. You can find her outdoors whether it's hiking, fishing or camping. Her favorite things are plants and animals. Here, she's pictured with just 3 of her loving animals- Onyx (pittie), Snowball (white chicken) and Penny (brown chicken). Sammie also has 8 cats, 6 dogs, 2 parakeets, 6 hamsters and many chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys. |
Kelsey Harris spent her childhood in California and moved back to Cortez to finish high school. She initially attended college and worked in the medical field before deciding to follow her passion. She is a Certified Veterinary Assistant and is currently enrolled in San Juan College to complete her Certification in Veterinary Technology. Kelsey enjoys all types of animals and has had tarantulas, iguanas, chameleons, snakes, mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, casts, dogs, goats, horses, cows and chickens as pets. She enjoys the ocean, camping, fishing and hiking as well as various craft projects. Kelsey has worked at Vibrant Pet since November 2022 and enjoys both the staff and the 'fur babies' that she works with every day.

Lauren Butler is attending New Mexico State University to work towards earning her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She has been interning at Vibrant Pet for several years now. She enjoys working with both small and large animals, many of which live at her home.
