What We Do...

We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Annual Wellness Exams: Yearly check-ups help us ensure your pets health. Many times, if conditions are caught early on, we can treat and/or manage their condition.

Vaccinations:   The best way to protect your pet is to get them vaccinated against dangerous, sometimes life-threatening viruses. Here we vaccinate against Parvovirus, Parainfluenza virus, Distemper, Leptosporosis, Panleukopenia, Feline Leukemia Virus and Rabies.

Spay/Neuter: This is a surgical procedure done to make certain you do not have any unexpected pregnancies. Spaying or neutering your pet can help decrease many medical conditions including cancer, pyometra, joint/bone complications and behavioral issues.

Puppy and Kitten Care: First time with a puppy/kitten or been awhile since you have had one? We provide lots of information on how to care for your new addition now and for the future.

Senior Care: Do you have a geriatric pet? We provide lots of information on how to care for your pet once he/she reaches "the golden years."

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

Critical Urgent Care:  We have a veterinarian on call 24/7. Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour urgent care.

Euthanasia:  Though it is one of the hardest decisions to make, we do offer euthanasia for pets that are past the point of treatment.

Cremation:   Cremation is often preferred over burial. With our crematorium on site we are able to get cremains back to you in a timely manner. Communal cremation (cremains not returned to owner) is also an option. *Note- due to the size of our crematorium, we are unable to cremate pets over 110 pounds.

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Digital Radiology Services:  Our on-site, digital x-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. We are able to consult with outside radiologists to review special cases.

Doppler Blood Pressure Monitoring: Checking a patients blood pressure is just as important as checking our own.

Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Fecal Exam:  A fecal allow us to detect parasites and signs of GI disease. Fecal floats allow us to evaluate it under a microscope.

Ultrasonography: This is our most recent addition. Our machine offers a non-invasive, in-depth ability to do a fast-scan as well as full internal screening. Ultrasound is an invaluable instrument that enables us to see the internal organs, specifically the chest and abdomen. This can assist in recognizing possible cysts or tumors. Heart and lung evaluations can also be done by our ultrasound machine. Often, we can then determine if surgery is necessary or if we can just treat pharmaceutically.

Surgical Services:  Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We do soft tissue all the way to specific orthopedic.

Fluid Infusion Pumps: These machines allow us to infuse the accurate amount of fluids to treat your pet. This is the most efficient way to assure us our patient is

High Risk Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Pain Management: Our goal is to prevent pain. With all our surgery services and procedures we follow a strict protocol for pain and safety. This is used to minimize not only discomfort but risk for your pet during surgery and recovery. Most of our pre-operative drugs intervene early on so pain management is already in effect prior to the surgical procedure. If further pain management is needed we will send home medication.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, glucosamine, Omega fatty acids, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

Permanent identification: We offer tattooing and microchip identification. The company we work with for microchipping is called 24 Hour PetWatch. A microchip is about the size of a piece of rice and is place underneath the skin at the nape of the neck. This microchip will have a specific number assigned to your pet. Most veterinary clinics and shelters will have scanners to read their number. After being scanned your pet would then be traced back to you, the owner.

Health Certificate For Travel:  Going out of town? We provide health certificates often required in order to travel into different countries or fly.

Individualized Flea Control And Heartworm Prevention Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
